So the other day Sis and I made strawberry cheesecake!! We are the labour while Sis's bf (SS) is the sponsor of the ingredients hahaha. It was super easy and fun to make!! It tasted awesome too. We were so surprised with the results as Sis and I did not bake ONCE before this! We are smart. Thank you.
Hope we can buy a baking oven soon so we can bake more yummy stuffs!! :D
Yup yup yup, this strawberry cheesecake does not require an oven! It only requires a microwave or something similar to melt the butter. It's really easy to make. So here goes! Sis came across Randy's blog and saw his blog post thus we feel like making it as well since it's easy and we both love strawberries! You can view his blog post here. :)
So here are all the ingredients you need!
Yummy strawberries
Cream cheese (either in spreadable or block form)
Digestive biscuits
Butter
Icing sugar
Strawberry jam
LETS START!!!
Firstly, crush the biscuits to make the base!
Put the biscuits inside any bag
and use a roller to crush it!!
We used one and a half row of biscuits for our base. It depends on how big is your container or how big you want your cake to be! Just a rough gauge will do. :)
CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH
While doing that, put your butter into a bowl and place it in the microwave for it to melt!
With the melted butter and crushed biscuits, MIX IT!! Remember to mix it thoroughly.
After mixing it, lay it out evenly.
Your base is done!! :D
Now... for the filling!
Cut the strawberries into equal sizes. Creativity is up to you! :)
Take a big bowl and mix the icing sugar, cream cheese and strawberry jam together!
Pour some icing sugar in~
The whole cream cheese in!!
And few scoops of strawberry jam in!
There's no specific number of scoops for the strawberry jam... You just need to add around two scoops, mix it up.
And if you mix it up and the colour turns out to be something like this.....
Then it's good!
Just remember add in scoop by scoop and mix it after you add in every scoop to make sure you arrive to this colour!! :)
Next will be putting the filling on top of your biscuit base!
The texture is like yogurt! It smells like strawberry yogurt as well. Maybe that's how they make yogurt?? :O
Spread it on evenly as well
Next will be your creativity!!
Decorate your cake with strawberries(or other fruits/edible stuffs; totally up to you) nicely and prettily~~~
TADA!! So nice rightttt omg
You can add some leftover biscuit crumbs or crush some biscuits to decorate the top of your cheesecake! :)
AND WE'RE DONE!!! SO NICE RIGHT??? I'm so proud of myself haha.Well, Sis will also be proud of herself.
We are so proud of ourselves!! Love the results. I think can bring out sell and earn some profits hahaha.
After that, wrap it up with aluminium foil and put it in the freezer! Yes freezer, not the middle part of the refrigerator ok! Whatever you call that... We waited for 2.5 hours for it harden. When we ate it, the filling is not really that harden yet but it's something like liquid-to-solid kind of state. If you want it to be completely harden, you will have to put it in the freezer for minimum 6 hours(rough gauge)! I find that putting it for 2.5 hours is enough because I don't really like too hard type, a little will do. Plus, trust me, you won't be able to wait for 6 HOURS because you can't wait to try it!! Randy's blog post stated to wait for 2-3 hours for it to harden but after 1.5 hour I already ask Sis if we could try it haha. We will always anticipate the results as we did it ourselves right?! Furthermore it is our first time making cake thus we're sooo excited to try it!
It tasted great!! Considering the fact that we're first timers? Plus I super LOVE the biscuit base!! It's like apple crumble base. Sad to say, we can't taste any cheese when we tried it. It is just like apple crumble base + strawberry yogurt. Maybe I shall call it strawberry cumble instead? Haha but it's good!! I'm so satisfied with the taste and results. :)))
Would love to do it again! Now that I know how to make the base, I can try other flavours as well. Or other kind of cakes! The base is great for any cake I suppose! It tasted really nice. :) Maybe I can learn to do apple crumble next time!!
Can't wait.
Do try it out if you're free at home! It's good to taste something you made yourself. You can make and share it with your family as well. Do share with me if you made them! Would love to see the results. :))
Have fun! :D

Looks (and likely tastes) great!
ReplyDeletehi,
ReplyDeleteyou shouldn't use spreadable 'cheese' because it is not cream cheese. it's cream cheese mixed with margarine therefore it's spreadable. perhaps this is why the cheese taste isn't there, and i see that you bought the 'light' version which definitely tastes different from the original. try using original cream cheese in block form i'm sure it'll taste much better, and harden quicker. :)
