Went on an Adventure Cove double date on Wednesday! :D
Me, bf, sis and soonseng. We had so much fun! We spent close to 6 hours there.
But seriously. One thing I hate is travelling. A torture 1.5 hour of bus ride from cck to habourfront. Horror!! Imagine sitting from the first stop all the way to the last. I might have died if I were to stand all the way squeezing with all the people in the bus. We planned to reach Adventure Cove around 930am but estimated wrongly and reached there at around 1015am. We even walked from Vivo to Sentosa since the distance is manageable! Thank God for the travelators as well.
Super great weather that day! It was sunny all the way till around 4pm and then windy with no sun nor rain and then followed by a 5 mins drizzle and then it was evening where the sky had gotten dark. :)
Excited! Feeling more and more excited as our footsteps are walking towards Adventure Cove and we're nearing it!
TADA~~~~
Happy us :)
Bought the tickets! $29 per person :)
The first thing we stepped in is to take touristy photos haha. Love this photo!
Didn't had any waterproof camera/phones so didn't manage to take photos while playing.. But it was really really fun with all the slides, waves and river! The best part gotta be the "rocket" slide. It's just like a water version of rollercoaster! It goes up and down, up and down. But the ride was too short. :( Around 30 seconds...? But still, no matter how long the queue is, you have to at least try it once when you go there! We queued for 1 hour 20 mins wtf. And the floor is so rough to stand on it that it makes it worse zzz. We wanted to queue again at 4pm+ but it started drizzle so we dropped the idea as we're afraid the drizzling might get bigger and all the rides will have to stop. So we decided to queue other slide that have shorter queues!
The second best part gotta be the snorkeling! You get to see some really unique and cute fishes! I saw one super neon yellow fish all swimming together near the rocks! I was sooo elated! I kept on patting the bf's shoulder and point to him the fishes and then showing him thumbs up in the water haha. But we had so many problems when swimming!
1st, the water is SO DAMN COLD. Like 5-10 degrees? Not even joking. First time when we first tried to swim, we get to go in the water first and get used to the temperature and snorkels given to us. All of us stepped in the water and then looked into each other and say "WA SIAO SO COLD!! CRAZY." Same reaction. It's really super duper cold. Made me a little reluctant to go in....
2nd, the snorkels. I just have problems breathing through the snorkels for both time we went. I'm not sure is it my problem or the snorkels because sis also experienced the same thing! When we're in the water, we breathe through our mouth normally. Until we breathe for about 10 times and the water will start coming in from below the snorkel and the breathing part will have water. Then we will need to stop swimming and lift our head out of the water to pour the water out. Super troublesome and annoying. I thought 1st time was just unlucky to get a lousy snorkel. Then BAM, 2nd time also the same zzz. It's not just breathing difficulty, sometimes I will accidentally drank the water also!! It's seawater fyi. Super salty!! -__- And sometimes the breathing "pipe" beside the googles will drop out if I accidentally tug it. Then I will need to ask somebody to help me put back because I don't know how to OR use my left hand and hold onto it and only have my right hand to swim. Which soonseng and I did when we're swimming for the 2nd time. At first, sis and I was laughing at him because he looks funny with one hand holding onto the breathing "pipe". And then after a few seconds, mine came off as well. -____- All four of us were laughing so badly we stop at the middle, floating and laughing. :X It was really hilarous!! Now I believe in karma.
But anyway. Still, you have to try it! It's really eye-opening if you didn't snorkel before. I did before. Like... 5-6 years ago? With family and relatives, we went overseas to snorkel! IT WAS REALLY AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. So so so much prettier than the one I saw in Adventure Cove with all the corals and reefs and colourful fishes. We even fed the fished with breads! I remembered being super happy and excited the whole time. Compared to Adventure Cove one, it was so much better because the equipment was better(I didn't have any breathing difficulty), the water is not salty and we got a boat and sail out further to the sea. The experience was really eye-opening and memorable! I'd like to go back again if I have a chance. :)
Ok back to Adventure Cove. Other slides and activities were also fun! Just try everything la haha.
Here are some visuals I took when we're having a break at 3pm:
3 pcs chicken wing for $6.
Looks delicious right? NOT.
Below average cheese fries for $5.90.
Super regret eating inside... Should have just brought some snacks or starve ourselves till we exit Adventure Cove and eat something better with the money zzz.
Tip #1: Do reach there early, 10am if possible. Opening hours is from 10am to 6pm. If you reach there early, quickly change and head to the "rocket" slide first. You will regret if you decide to play it later because you will have to queue an hour for the ride!! Play as many times as possible while the queue is still short!
Tip #2: Bring snacks/sandwiches if possible. You won't want to waste money buying below average food. Best solution is to fill your stomach before you play and then eat after you played! Not worth it to waste your money there!
Tip #3: If you reach as early as 10am, you can prepare to shower and head off at around 4.30pm-5pm. Because after 5pm, there will be a looonnggggg shower queue!! Especially the ladies... We waited for around 15 mins when we showered at around 5pm. So imagine the queue if you showered at 5.30pm onwards....

After everything, we headed to Astons for dinner since it's only a few meters walk away from Adventure Cove! Forgotten to take pics. :(
Then we walked back to Vivo for some yummy desserts at Fruit Paradise~ ^^
Then it was another 1.5 hours horror bus ride back to cck...........
I WANT MY CAR LICENSE AND A CAR.

Finished watching Faith The Great Doctor few days ago and guess what? I'm re-watching it now. Hahaha I think I'm siao or what. First time re-watching a drama?!?!!? Guess it was a really nice drama so it was worth it to re-watch everything again. Maybe it's because of Lee Minho. He's really so handsome regardless of what he do, what angle...... My god. I need daily dose of Lee Minho everyday, 24/7.
Go watch it if you have not!! Link for drama just below this post.
