It's been a while since I blogged about my hamsters right? The last time was probably many few months back.. Well a lot things have changed since then. Two of my hamsters, Bubble and Jacky, passed away. Bubble passed away on the 4th of July, while Jacky passed away on the 27th of July.
When Bubble passed away, it was a lot and too overwhelming for us to take in. It's the first hamster that passed away, and sis and I were both very dejected and hurt. What hurts more was that Bubble did not die because of her age, is because her legs were stuck on her wheel, unable to come down from the top, and we didn't notice it maybe until half an hour. When we noticed it, it was already too late and she dropped down from the wheel when we took it out, lying there motionlessly. She is still breathing, but couldn't move. Sis and I tried to hold her up on her legs to aid her to walk, but she couldn't. Her legs seems to give way and she slipped back down, lying motionlessly, still breathing. We were shocked and hurt to see that, and we just weep and weep because we couldn't do much for her. We just kept by her side, beside her cage, seeing her body move up and down, breathing. In the end, after around 30-45 minutes, she started moving, stretching both her legs and hands, and stopped breathing afterwards. We mourned over Bubble's death, and seeing Bubble like this made us feel extremely hurt because we didn't took enough care of her and there's nothing much we can do seeing her like this.
When Jacky passed away, we slowly gotten used to it. It was in the morning when sis first saw Jacky lying down motionlessly on the middle of the cage. She quickly woke me up and we both knew Jacky is going to leave this world soon. So we just placed him on my bed, and kept by his side. Same thing, before he passed away, he stretched both his legs and hands, moved a little, and then stopped breathing.
After Bubble's death, I have sort of gotten used to it. Some things, we just can't prevent - like life and death. There's really nothing much we can do. So the most we can do is to forgive and forget. Cry and reminisce for a little while, then move on. And be strong. So I've become a lot stronger when facing Jacky's death. Till now, I still miss both Bubble and Jacky's presence, and sis and I still talked about them now and then. They will always be part of the 8 hamsters, and all of them will never be forgotten. Thank you for the memories. ♡

*Pardon for the video quality. Filmed with an iPhone 5 and have no idea why is the quality THIS bad.
[Updated: And I found out that it might be YouTube's problem!! I tried uploading the same videos on Vimeo and the quality is so much better or probably the same as what I'm viewing from my phone. Will upload on Vimeo next time. :-)]

Jacky, still healthy :")
Few months before he passed away, he became really really skinny, one of his eyes were swollen, and one of his legs couldn't walk properly anymore. It was really sad to see him like that. He's living better in another world now. :-)

The fat and bubbly Bubble. She was healthy all along, so I felt extremely sad to see her passed away so early because I felt like.. she don't "deserve it"? Hope you're living happily in another world my dear Bubble. :-)

Xiao Jacky eating his favourite bread!
He's always living in his own world and wouldn't like people to disturb him haha too cute.
His tumour :"(((( No idea why he has it, but just hope it won't get any more worse than this.
--
The softest fur of all, Baby!! She's really naughty and fierce in the past, and she even got hospitalized before because she bit herself. :(
But now everything's fine and she's the most healthy hamster now. :) Only her left leg seems to have difficulty walking but it's kinda cute seeing her like that hehe. She also became more tame and obedient now!
Just like her name, a little baby. <3

Mimi casually lying down on her wheel. #juzchillin'
She always lies down like this so her fur is a little wet and no idea why it cannot dry up. :( But other than that, she's healthy as well. :)

Toby with his minion hahaha.
Really sad to see Toby in this state now - where he have little red dots on his body, his fur is dropping, he's getting skinner and skinner each day. He used to be the healthiest and fittest hamster of all, because he always run and exercise on his wheel and eats a lot! No idea why did he become like this, just hope he don't suffer pain anywhere. :"(

Every single one of them have brought so much joy to my life.
