Pulau Ubin

Since my holidays are ending, I find a need to enjoy myself to the fullest before school starts - where I have to boringly go to school everyday, try to keep myself awake and pay attention to lectures and do tutorials, go through MST results and a lot more.

God. Thinking about all these makes me so sick. School sucks. I detest waking up early and going to school everyday. Life is going back to square one again - where everything is so dull, boring and mundane.

So yes. Bf and I decided to head to Pulau Ubin and relax ourselves. Took train all the way from Cck to Simei, and then took bus 9 to Changi Village. Long journey. Felt so sleepy even before reaching Pulau Ubin wtf.

Ok I love my new hair!!

Studded bag to bring out, tiger tote bag to put at bf's house

Too lazy to put on make-up (except for some bb cream, foundation and concealer) as I thought shades will be good enough. Perfect and just in time for the crazy scorching sun too.

 Reached Changi Point Ferry Terminal!
Did some googling before going to know how to go. Then realised Changi Point Ferry Terminal and Changi Ferry Terminal is two different places. =O

I know I look hideous and sleep deprived here (wtf fml x100) but then bf look so good-looking here I decided to just post it up. No point covering my face, my image doesn't matter anymore LOL.

 Hi Pulau Ubin!!! =D

 Numerous bicycle shops

Flyer distributed once we alight from our bumboat

And sad thing is....

When we alighted from our bumboat, it started drizzling. :( So unlucky and sad!! Like Pulau Ubin don't welcome us wtf. So we decided to eat something while waiting for the rain to stop!

I look so fragile..... Gosh I hate dark circle/eyebag. WHY DO YOU EXIST?!?!

 Bf browsing through the menu

 Mine and bf's shades =)

Claypot chicken! This is yummy. =D

Xing Zhou beehoon. Tasted alright as well.

 Me with bf shades (1)

 Me with bf shades (2)

 My love

Sad face because...

THE RAIN HAVEN'T STOP YET!!! >:( In fact, it rain heavier.

Because we've got nowhere to go..... So we ordered another dish lol. This time, we ate s..slow.....slowly.

Hong Kong style noodles. Tasted alright as well!

Just right after we finished eating, the rain stopped as well. Rented bicycle each for $5 and cycled around!

Was a little bored though. Because the floor is wet, and I'm sweating, and there's not much things to see.
Cycled for close to an hour and we decided to return the bike and drink some coconut water!!

 SUPER YUMZ!!!!
The coconut water is so sweet and perfect and original.
The coconut inside that we scooped was also great.

$2.50 for one. A little ex though. But I felt it's alright because we seldom go to Pulau Ubin just to buy coconut and so it's okay to splurge in awhile! What's more it's so nice!!!! Hmmm I think I should not say splurge. Because it's just only a small amount of money and I only buy one lol. But yup you get my gist.

 It's fake.
A few shops hung such board in their shop but when I ask about the prices of the bicycles, none of them is $2. Just trying to attract customers I guess! Maybe they have $2 bikes, like what..... Kids' bikes?

Went back at around 5pm!

On our way back

Train to Yishun after that and caught I Am: Sm Town Live World Tour In Madison. Movie was awesome!! It showed about their real life stuffs + dorm life + behind the stage + past clips. I fear that I might go back to fangirling again lol. I'm like total crazy + 24/7 stalker last time wtf. Kind of crazy and mad.

But with pros, there are always cons.

There are 2 things I don't like about it:

1. TOO LITTLE MOVIE SHOW TIMES.
Oh gosh. This is totally bullshit. Why the fuck they even make this movie a GV Exclusive (where only Golden Village have this movie)? Plus, there are so little cinemas that carry this movie!! If you're lucky enough, there are 4 - Yishun, Plaza Sing, Vivo City and Jurong Point. If you're unlucky? Only 1 cinema available. What the fuck is this? -___- PLUS the fact that there is so little cinema carrying this movie, in one day, there only like fucking ONE SHOW TIME everyday. Wtf wtf wtf!!!!! Damn pissed and fed up. It's so hard to find time for that one fucking cinema + one show time. That's why I delayed it for so long and finally get to catch it.

2. Ticket price is totally exorbitant.
FREAKING SIXTEEN (16) BUCKS FOR ONE TICKET!! No student price, no card discount, nothing. Fucking crazy money suckers that is out to infuriate us. -_- They see the fact that a lot of people is crazy about KPOP so they priced it so high!!!! Ugh. So pissed.

P/S: Onew Lee Jinki is always so cute hehe.

After the movie, went to walk around the pasar malam near Yishun MRT. Bought myself a shades for $10! =D

Cute, round frame!!

Dumplings

Duanwu Festival/Dumpling Festival/Dragon Boat Festival/端午节 is coming!

Which means we will get to eat tasty dumplings! =D

But do you all make it yourself, or buy it?

For me, every year without fail, my maternal side popo and aunt(s) and my mommy will make and wrap it ourselves! Because every year, prices of dumplings have been increasing. This year, when Duanwu Festival is approaching, the prices increases MORE. Like $3 - $4 for a meat dumpling?!?!?!!! Yes that's how they earn money. Sure, there's $1 - $3 meat dumplings selling out there. But I can assure you the amount of ingredients are going to be worth what you've paid for. Since it's a one year one time occasion, thus people are more willingly to spend more money on the dumplings, it will be fine with them to fork out $3 - $4 just for a dumpling.

But to save money on that, we always make and wrap ourselves! It may be tiring, but it's also quite fun and interesting too. You eat what you made. I love that feeling! And on top of that, we can even SELL IT. Yes we sell the extras to make some money!! A rough estimate.... guess we made more than 200 dumplings! 100  or lesser for ourselves (the whole maternal side relatives, only the closest ones get free lol), and the rest to sell. We sell $3 for each meat dumpling, so guess we popo earned quite a fair bit. Plus those who are eating and taking back home some gave $50 (each family) to cover up the ingredients cost!

So making and wrapping dumplings ourselves had already became a tradition and this year, and it had been quite an experience for me because I'VE LEARNED HOW TO WRAP IT!!

First was because this year only my mommy, 大姨 (big aunt) and popo is helping out thus not enough manpower. Second was because I wanted to learn so I can wrap next time for my childrens or loved ones or maybe I might be able to make an income out of it if I can't find jobs in the future LOL. Third was because I'm just so filial and helpful and hardworking. Haha thank you thank you. And fourth and the final reason is because I can decide what to put inside as ingredients and what NOT to add in, in cater to my own preferred taste. And then I get to eat the dumplings made by my own hands! Guess I will feel quite accomplished too hehe. ;)

So in order to make dumplings, you will need ingredients!

The most essential ingredient in the dumpling, PORK MEAT!

Gao lat which I've no idea what it is called in Chinese/English.

Mushrooms

The untouched shrimp

The fried spicy shrimp! Or what you call hei bi hiam in Hokkien.

Of course, you need leaves (or whatever you call that) to wrap the dumplings up!

This is another dumpling we made too! It is much more smaller than the meat dumpling.

Which is this!
It is a plain and sticky dumpling where you dip the dumpling into the orangey colour "powder" and eat it! I prefer the meat dumpling though. >:D

All the pictures were taken the night before we made the meat dumplings. The ingredients are suppose to prepare before the day and put it in the fridge! Dad and I went down to fetch mommy as she went to popo's house at 8.30AM just to help out with the other dumpling (yellow colour one).

Also settled our dinner at popo's house and headed to a market near Pending LRT station! Bought loads of food like egg tarts (super yumz plus 2 for $1 only @_@), popiah and fruits etc!

Random insert of mommy bargaining with the shop owner lol

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

So the next day, woke up as early as 7AM to prepare to head to popo's house and help out! Hardworking popo already woke up at fucking 4AM!! *salute*

Reached popo house and mommy starting frying the dumpling rice. Since I can't help out any, I went down to the market nearby with popo to buy charcoal and veges for dinner. :> Popo knows so many people there so when she walk anywhere, she will stop and chit-chat with them. Haha I find that so cute.

After that big aunt came over too and we started wrapping the dumplings! Mommy taught me how to put in the ingredients in the leaves and then wrap it. I don't know how to tie to the strings though. So every time after wrapping up, I will pass to mommy and ask her help me tie lol. Ok at least I've helped!!

A pity that I didn't get to snap down pictures of the process though because I was busy wrapping.

After 3 to 4 hours, we finally wrapped finish with the help of popo, big aunt, mommy and me! And while wrapping, we took those that are tied up on the strings and placed it inside a pot of hot water and let it cook! So after wrapping finish EVERYTHING, we have tasty dumplings to eat!!

Dumplings that we made it our own. =DD

Tada!! Does it look yummy to you? :>

Many many meat dumplings!! :D

Enjoyed myself! I'm thankful that I get to eat my own handmade dumplings! ^-^

Random shots of my hammy - Jacky!

 Yes, this is seriously ADORABLE.

Too sleepy? Or he likes to eat while sleeping? Haha.
That's Jacky sleeping inside his food bowl!!

Falling down while scratching lol. Such a fat hamster. <3

Lying down on our hands ^.^

Toooo cute haha.

Have a good week ahead! =D And be thankful.

Had my hair cut short!

I guess it's time to say goodbye to my hair.

I've been thinking for quite a long time whether I should cut it or not. Because it's really long, and it's pretty (to me) and I kind of like it. I fear that after cutting it, the results may not be what I desire, turns out to be ugly, but I can't do anything but to live with it. You know that kind of feeling right? So I've been pondering for quite a long time!

Every time I cut my hair last time, I used to go to EC (short for Express Cut) House to cut my hair. Because it's only $10 LOL. Ya the shop claim that they will cut within 10 minutes because time is money blah blah blah. So 10 minutes for $10, sounds legit?

Wtf felt so utterly embarrassed after typing those words. YES LA I'M A CHEAPSKATE LAST TIME. Because I think hair is not really important. More important is that you have a pretty face.

Hahahahahahhahahaha wtf did I just say myself pretty. Just kidding. I admit I'm just average-looking, but still trying ways to improve my looks. ;)

So yes, I think my hair is really long. It is kind of creepy and scary sometimes. And it's super hard to maintain and doesn't fits the fucking warm weather in Singapore.

Every time I will have to take like 20-30 minutes in the bathroom when I'm washing my hair. Normally, people will just press 1-2 times of the shampoo for your hair right? I need 4 times to cover my whole long and thick hair. Conditioner, worse. 5-6 times. Need at least 3-4 hours for it to be fully dry. 20 minutes to dry if you're using hair dryer. So much effort and time needed right? Money wasted too!

Anyway...

I used Essential Rich Premier shampoo and conditioner to maintain my hair!
It really makes damaged hair smoother and repairs it.
There's also a pink version one which is Nuance Airy series, it gives your hair a light and bouncy feel! Also makes hair ends look lively!

If you want the results to be EVEN better, use the Ultra Honey & Shea Butter!! I used this before, it is extremely extremely useful. It totally makes your hair A LOT smoother. But I didn't use now because I felt that my hair doesn't need this and I'm too lazy to apply haha.

F.Y.I - I only washed my hair once every two days so that my hair won't get too dry and frizzy.

Talking about weather, the weather these few days is C R A Z Y. Really crazy!! Perspiring every second even with fans on. Only air-con can save us. -_- It's really crazy. Makes me so reluctant to go out every time. Guess people with short hair can't even withstand the crazy heat, what's more me? Every warm weather like this, going out means I've to tie up my hair, if not I can't survive. Most probably get heatstroke (with a little exaggeration).

But with such long hair of mine (pic later), tying up my hair will be very nice. Because it's so long and silky haha. But can't possibly tie up my hair every time right? So I've decided to just cut it. I mean get the hairdresser to cut for me.

So before I go into my new short hair (ok not really that short), a picture of my freaking ghostly long hair to scare you guys first!

Ok too late.

So yup this is my extremely long hair!! It even touches my ass. Hope it didn't scares you.

Anyway I took this shot in self-timer so this is the best it can get. Other shots can't even see the ends of my hair. This.... barely made it.

It's really difficult to maintain, and difficult for me to do a lot of things. When I'm at home, I'll always tie up my hair, or a bun. Because it is either my long center-parting fringes came in the way, or the weather is being a bitch. Oh and yes, or if I'm going to pee/poo. Because my hair is THAT long, it will surely touch my ass when I sit on the toilet bowl. Then if I forgotten to tie my hair up, I will need to flip my hair to the front so it won't touch. Or my hair will have gotten the pee or shit! Yes damn yucky and sucky and disgusting.

Other then all those cons, pros are it is pretty and angel-feeling (laugh out loud) and super nice when hair is tied up!

So I went to Limbang Signature Salon and have my hair cut! For around 20 minutes? It's finally done. =D Quite satisfied with the results. I like my fringe and the length of my hair. But I don't like when it's tied up because it looks so short and messy and the layering of my hair is horrendous. :( But I guess short hair will mean less tying of hair. So I will try not to tie my hair next time!

Anyway it cost me $14.

Look at the amount of hair!! My precious, long hair.

Went to eat meatball soup at Limbang food court (2nd level) after that.
Look at the amount of meatballs they gave me!! Above picture shows 15 meatballs, but there's still MORE below the meatballs, but unable to float up because there's just too many. And guess how much does this meatball soup cost?

FREAKING 3 BUCKS.

You kidding me?!!?!? $3 for more than 15 meatballs!! The soup is tasty too. Omg it's such a steal.

Oh and I realised I have not shown you guys my final hair?

Here you go!

I think it looks more frizzy and thick.

Cut away like 7-8 inches OMG.

Front!

So how is it?
Am I more suitable for long hair or short hair?

You may think it's not that short. But to me, from my super long hair to this short, it's considered pretty short to me.

Now, I miss my long hair. :(

Erm....

I'm kind of embarrassed and sorry to ask you guys this....

But seriously...

Can you tell me........

WHAT TO BLOG?

Truth is.

I don't even know.

I haven't been going out these few days, even though it's the holidays.

No one asked me out. Bf went to work. Bffs also went to work. I've got no plans on where to go so I can ask my bf/friends out. Just because Singapore is really too small. Extremely small, I'd say.

Everyday I have to think of what to blog. Every time I go out, I will bring my camera together in order to snap at least some pictures just for a new blog post. Read other blogs just to get some inspiration. Try to go out at least twice or thrice a week so that I've something to blog or share about.

Some times, going out too often may be a bad thing as I've got no time to blog. And I miss blogging.

Worst comes to worst. Snap any pictures that can be share with or blog about. Or blog about what I've been doing for the day (which is like a whole chunk of boring stuffs that no one would even read it, but just trying my luck to see if at least one or two reads it). Or think of boring topics to keep my blog alive.

Well, every blogger wish to have something to blog every time. Something interesting. Which blogger doesn't wants to get attention and praise from everyone about your interesting blog posts? Which blogger doesn't wish to have interesting and whole loads of stuffs to blog about? Which blogger would wants to type whole chunk of words for their readers to read?

I blog because I want to get attention. I want to be famous and popular. I want to get praises and likes from people of all over the world just because of my one blog post. I blog for an income. I blog for my passion. I blog because I like people reading my posts. I blog because it's interesting. I blog to keep myself occupy. I blog to express. I blog to keep memories that I might not remember. I blog just because I simply love blogging.

Another thing is.. Does blogging requires really good English? For example, people will say things like "Wtf her english sucks still want blog. I don't even understand wtf she talking." or some will say things like "wtf the english cmi still want blog, see got tense and spelling error also don't know. Ewww step one pro". My English is just below average. But perhaps blogging can and will improve my English in a loooong time to come. I'm still learning and trying, so don't fail me!! Don't judge me like that. Give me a chance ok........

Back to topic. So yes, I really hate the fact that I've got nothing to blog. Does being a blogger means you must go out often, takes loads of pictures, write interesting blog posts etc? I understand being a blogger may not be the case. Ok then let me rephrase my sentence. Does being a POPULAR blogger needs to go out often, takes loads of pictures and write interesting blog posts etc? I guess so. Because being a popular blogger starts with their readers. The more readers you have, of course you're in the lead. Or you may be famous in other areas and when you starts blogging, you may easily get lots of readers too. But to first have readers, you need to draw and get their attention.

The problem is,

H O W ?

By posting interesting blog posts? Overload pictures post? Real-life experience? Topics? Epic stuffs? Funny stuffs?

Disclaimer: Don't get me wrong. I'm not in the position to teach you all how to blog. And will never have the rights to. Just giving suggestions, and taking in your suggestions as well so as to improve myself and my blog. :)

I really really really need suggestions (topics, what kind of pictures, what kind of approach should I go into etc) from you guys! I seriously want to improve myself and my blog. I want to be a better, well-known (wtf I sounded so unabashed saying this) and interesting blogger! I wanna get famous!!! Wtf attention-seeking siao haha.

I guess blogging can really take me very far. To get what I love, what I want. To know the world more, to know people more, to know how to give and take. I think that getting famous through blogging is really awesome. Like, you build up all this yourself and gain readers by your own efforts and sweat, and get sponsors, attention etc. People asking you to help them promote and advertise in their items or shop etc... Haha thinking of all these makes me more motivated. Yes I'm motivated to be a famous blogger next time!!! I hope I can. Like 10 years down the road or something. By that time blogger might be an outdated social platform already lol. Then all the efforts go down the drain WTF FML. Ok hope that does not happens. *cross fingers*

And also..... Thank you if you like reading my posts. :) Sorry if you don't. But please don't hate me. Just leave my blog and don't ever visit again lol. Please be more understanding next time when I post boring blog posts or take a long time to come up with a post ok! Don't leave this blog because I'm sure it will get more interesting as times goes by LOL. Wtf I'm so bhb and disgusting. Why ah????

I would like to thank those who stayed with me from that start and never once complain that my blog posts are boring (though some really are)! =D Thank you thank you thank you! Actually I'm already more than grateful that I can even have just one reader that visits my blog everyday to see if there's new blog posts. You know the feeling? The feeling when people read what you blog and loves reading it and anticipate for the next post. It is a...... touching and proud feeling haha. Maybe some blogger out there might know and feel me too. :)

Haha okay this wordy post is getting way too long and boring. Do give me suggestions guys!! Every comment is really valuable and precious to me. =')

Town

Another boring post.

Went to Town the other day to collect my blogshop parcels the other day. Been finding people to accompany me and fortunately Cia and Mich are going to Town too as they have work. So met up with them and they are late AGAIN and we trained to Town. They alighted at Orchard while I alighted at Somerset. Walked to Orchard Central Miyoc and look around and collect my stuffs. Then took 190 bus back to Cck to meet bf for dinner.

Here comes the funny thing.

Reached Cck bus interchange and text bf, "Where are you?". When I'm walking up the stairs. He replied so I opened it up and see. He replied "beside you". I was like HUH? I wanted to reply "Don't play leh, faster say la". Then I notice a person beside me standing super close to me. Like in 2 seconds after I've read the message, I looked up to my left and saw bf. -___- He purposely "hide" at bus interchange there and had planned everything. Lol wtf. Why he so lame. But ok, I admit. A bit cute. <3

Ate KFC. Tried the tri-pepper crunch chicken. Normal though. Only the skin has the pepper flavour. Plus 2 chicken cost us $6.30. Changed the mashed potato to cheese fries need top up $1.70. Become $8. SO EXPENSIVE PLEASEEEE. So I seldom eat KFC. Money suckers.

And the following pictures are what I took that day:

 OOTD

 Zigzag top from Couturelane,
denim high waist from Blogshopping (Fareast Plaza),
brown weaved belt from Bugis Street,

Above 2 tops from Lovelyspree

Brown wedge I bought at Lot One Cotton On Sale for $15 =D

__________________________________________________________________________

Guess I've decided to cut my hair short. Short as in..... Cut my ultra long hair short. Not cut it short to shoulder length or bob or whatsoever. Yeah you get my drift.

Hope it turns out well. Thanks for reading guys. X
