Summing up my 2012

So..... 2012 is ending soon!! This year has been good to me. Well, every year has been. It's really just the matter of how you look and view the situations.... Some people may be easily contented, whereas some may want more than what they get. For me, I'm of course easily contented!! I'm happy that I'm alive, together with my family, boyfriend and friends, all living together healthily. That's more than I could ever ask for. With people by your side is like the sweetest and best thing!! You get listening ear when you're sad, or people to share your good news to, and many more. It's really to have all these lovely people by my side. :) Thank you.

SO HOW'S YOUR 2012!!?!!!?!? I hope it's been really well for you! If not, don't worry because 2013 will be good to you, me and everybody!! :D Tip is just to be contented with what you have, and you'll be happy. :) It's that easy!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This year flew by quickly.. Really really quickly. Not really sure whether it's a good or bad thing though. Still quite not prepared for Year 2 poly, graduation and University(if I can go in)... I hope I am by the time the time comes!!

This year is a good year for me!! Got to meet lovely friends from Poly, and also introduced MrChua to my parents along with sis and her bf. :) Such a relieved that my parents finally accepts it because they don't allow us to be in a relationship when we're in secondary school as they think we are still young, don't know how to think etc... So it's really a good thing that they finally accepts it and learn to understand us better. They got more relax and gave us more freedom too. :') Really glad and thankful for that. Would love to thank the people I love: family, boyfriend, friends - for being there for me always!! There's too much to thank you guys about. I just wish you all to be happy and healthy every single day. For friends, I have quite a lot. But closer ones will be Michelle, Alicia, Simin, whole 4B'2011 and DHLFM/FT/1A/02. :) Thank you for bringing soooo much joy to my life and I'm really really really happy to know every single one of you, including those who are not close to me(normal friends, those that we've met/talked just a few times). If you're someone I know and someone I don't detest, then I'm happy to know you. =)

To my dear MrChua, thank you for always putting me as priority in everything. Always thinking about me before you do things, listening to my needs & wants, always caring and understanding me. :') You know I appreciate that a lot and can't be more grateful + thankful for that. I really see the future in us and I believe we will go far. I hope you too thinks that way. :) Love you.

And lastly, thank you to my family who is always there, creating memories, joy and laughter in my life. ♡

Nonetheless, I would like to wish everybody good health. Health is the most important. Also, be happy and contented. :) May 2013 be a great year for all of you!!!!! ^.^

While you're reading this post, I'm enjoying in the chalet right now hehe. Enjoy your day people!!
Countdown to a brand new year with your loved ones. :)

♡♡ Merry late Christmas & Happy New Year!!!! ♡♡

Strawberry cheesecake

So the other day Sis and I made strawberry cheesecake!! We are the labour while Sis's bf (SS) is the sponsor of the ingredients hahaha. It was super easy and fun to make!! It tasted awesome too. We were so surprised with the results as Sis and I did not bake ONCE before this! We are smart. Thank you.

Hope we can buy a baking oven soon so we can bake more yummy stuffs!! :D

Yup yup yup, this strawberry cheesecake does not require an oven! It only requires a microwave or something similar to melt the butter. It's really easy to make. So here goes! Sis came across Randy's blog and saw his blog post thus we feel like making it as well since it's easy and we both love strawberries! You can view his blog post here. :)

So here are all the ingredients you need!

 Yummy strawberries

Cream cheese (either in spreadable or block form)

Digestive biscuits

 Butter

 Icing sugar

 Strawberry jam

LETS START!!!

Firstly, crush the biscuits to make the base!

Put the biscuits inside any bag

and use a roller to crush it!!

We used one and a half row of biscuits for our base. It depends on how big is your container or how big you want your cake to be! Just a rough gauge will do. :)

 CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH

While doing that, put your butter into a bowl and place it in the microwave for it to melt!

With the melted butter and crushed biscuits, MIX IT!! Remember to mix it thoroughly.

After mixing it, lay it out evenly.

 Your base is done!! :D

Now... for the filling!

Cut the strawberries into equal sizes. Creativity is up to you! :)

Take a big bowl and mix the icing sugar, cream cheese and strawberry jam together!

 Pour some icing sugar in~

 The whole cream cheese in!!

And few scoops of strawberry jam in!

There's no specific number of scoops for the strawberry jam... You just need to add around two scoops, mix it up.

And if you mix it up and the colour turns out to be something like this.....

 Then it's good!
Just remember add in scoop by scoop and mix it after you add in every scoop to make sure you arrive to this colour!! :)

Next will be putting the filling on top of your biscuit base!

The texture is like yogurt! It smells like strawberry yogurt as well. Maybe that's how they make yogurt?? :O

Spread it on evenly as well

Next will be your creativity!!
Decorate your cake with strawberries(or other fruits/edible stuffs; totally up to you) nicely and prettily~~~

 TADA!! So nice rightttt omg

You can add some leftover biscuit crumbs or crush some biscuits to decorate the top of your cheesecake! :)

AND WE'RE DONE!!! SO NICE RIGHT??? I'm so proud of myself haha.Well, Sis will also be proud of herself.
We are so proud of ourselves!! Love the results. I think can bring out sell and earn some profits hahaha.

After that, wrap it up with aluminium foil and put it in the freezer! Yes freezer, not the middle part of the refrigerator ok! Whatever you call that... We waited for 2.5 hours for it harden. When we ate it, the filling is not really that harden yet but it's something like liquid-to-solid kind of state. If you want it to be completely harden, you will have to put it in the freezer for minimum 6 hours(rough gauge)! I find that putting it for 2.5 hours is enough because I don't really like too hard type, a little will do. Plus, trust me, you won't be able to wait for 6 HOURS because you can't wait to try it!! Randy's blog post stated to wait for 2-3 hours for it to harden but after 1.5 hour I already ask Sis if we could try it haha. We will always anticipate the results as we did it ourselves right?! Furthermore it is our first time making cake thus we're sooo excited to try it!

It tasted great!! Considering the fact that we're first timers? Plus I super LOVE the biscuit base!! It's like apple crumble base. Sad to say, we can't taste any cheese when we tried it. It is just like apple crumble base + strawberry yogurt. Maybe I shall call it strawberry cumble instead? Haha but it's good!! I'm so satisfied with the taste and results. :)))

Would love to do it again! Now that I know how to make the base, I can try other flavours as well. Or other kind of cakes! The base is great for any cake I suppose! It tasted really nice. :) Maybe I can learn to do apple crumble next time!!
Can't wait.

Do try it out if you're free at home! It's good to taste something you made yourself. You can make and share it with your family as well. Do share with me if you made them! Would love to see the results. :))

Have fun! :D
2012 post will be up on 31 Dec~

2D1N Malaysia

2D1N Malaysia(Johor Bahru) + Legoland is awesome!!!
So much fun with family, MrChua and Soonseng(sis bf)!! =D

Such a great decision to stay over for one night to enjoy ourselves more. Nothing to rush, just go there relax and enjoy ourselves. Which we did! :D We book through DEAL.sg for only $68(includes 1 night stay at hotel + tix to Legoland). It was considered cheap as one Legoland tix already cost up to $40+!

Sis and I :)

Rounded my eyes fully with eyeliner that day. I think I look fiercer!!
Had my eyebrows embroidered too. Hehe no more time wasted to keep filling in the brows!! Love the results as well. :)

Trained to Kranji MRT and took bus 170 over to Woodlands Checkpoint.

Weeehooo happy!!

N O T.

The queue for checking in are DAMNNN LONG?? We queued for freaking 45 minutes standing. Super grumpy!! Parents, mrchua and I queued for the wrong queue as it only had one counter while Sis and SS queued for the queue that had 2 counters!! They waited for us like 20 minutes?

How I wish we have cars so we can just skip this torturing process of queuing up!! Same goes to waiting the bus to proceed to Malaysia checkpoint and also checking out.... Oh God.

After 1.5 hours, we finally reached Msia!! Settled our empty stomachs at Old Town White Coffee in City Square.

Hehe my handsome boyfriend :)

The ladies on the left

And the gentlemen on the right :)

My crispy prata with curry! Nice and cheap :O

Overall, the meal was cheap and tasty!! :D Finally a good way to start the day!

Next we got into separate taxis and cab to our hotel.

View from the 18th floor

Unpack our bags and headed out for some shopping!

First we went to this shopping centre and find that there's nothing much to shop around so we walked to KSL mall. It was quite a long 15-20mins walk plus a little drizzle. We almost died halfway and our hands were about to flag for cabs... But I'm glad we made it haha.

Should have stayed in this hotel instead as it is nearer to Legoland plus a mega shopping centre below!! Fuss free. Walked around and caught Life of Pi for only SGD5 per person!! :OO

3min chair massage for 1ringgit lol. Dad claims it's good!

After the movie we walked around KSL mall and bought a few things. Poor(+ good) bf bought money and spend on me lol. For the two days, he only spend on a screen protector for himself and others are on me and meals. :(

Seafood for dinnerrrr ^.^

Super BIG sugercane juices?!?!?! OMG. So big that my parents can't even finish one big cup. For us, barely made it. We have to compete with each other to see who drank finish all first haha. MrChua and I lost. ;( SS drank up half of it reallllly quickly!! :O

Great + yummy meal!! :D But a little regretful because we should have ordered stingray + lala instead of crayfishes which is so expensive. Total bill came up to be 300ringgit. MrChua and SS treated! =D

Mommy shopping for fruits hehe

Contact lenses making me look like I have teary-eyes.

Since we went for this trip at 15dec, the next day was Mommy's birthday so we decided to buy cakes + cards and champagne to celebrate in the hotel!! ^.^

LOL spot the flowers?? It was unintentional. SS was writing and Noel accidentally make until him thus there was a line so we transformed it into flowers... Well not really sure whose fault is it but I'm sure it's either one of them since MrChua and I didn't touched the card at that point of time haha.

Happy birthday Mommy!! Love you sooo much <3

Haha coincidentally MAY is mum's additional name.

That's all for 1st day!! Will be back soon with Legoland trip photos!! ^.^

Caught some movies the past few week....
Life of Pi is great!! Contains a little humour + resilient etc.. Great storyline! 8.5/10

Caught this on 20dec, the day it was released to the cinemas! The movie is awesome!! Great storyline as well. It was quite anticipating as well. Oh and the very handsome Tom Cruise!! *_* 9/10

Caught this just yesterday with MrChua.

IT WAS SOOOO AWESOME!! Like the best movie for the year??!? Definitely a 10/10 for this Jackie Chan 101th movie!! He's such a great, humble and humorous guy. You gotta love him man. His movies/shows never disappoints. This is a MUST-WATCH!! Go watch it before it's not in the cinemas anymore. Totally worth the $11.50(MrChua's hahaha) tickets. Totally entertained throughout the whole movie!! It's not that good if you don't watch in cinemas. Trust me.

Ahhhhh I'm so fickle-minded about my blog layout!! Is this ok???!!
